Vandaag heeft Hellbound Glory via Facebook een tiental live nummers verspreid. Een mooi initiatief waarmee de band laat zien verder te zijn dan veel andere artiesten en platenmaatschappijen. Vaak wordt angstvallig vast gehouden aan oude verdien modellen en hiermee prijst men zichzelf compleet uit de markt. Ik ben ervan overtuigd dat Hellbound Glory door het delen van hun muziek een solide basis creëert van geïnteresseerde die de band actief volgen. Wat zich uit(betaald) in concert bezoek en aanschaf van merchandise en studio albums. Een prima verdienmodel wanneer je het mij vraagt, maar hé, je moet wel met hart en ziel muziek maken. Live in Nashville is een volwaardig live album met tien nummers. Een cover van Hank Williams JR; Women I’ve Never had, wat ouder repertoire als Hank Williams Records en Another Bender Might Break Me en een aantal nieuwe songs. Een van die songs is The Feud. Frontman Leroy Virgil vertelde het volgende over dit nummer op Saving Country Music: “I wrote the Feud a few days after seeing Bob Wayne play in Folsom CA with .357 String Band backing him. I wrote it about some relatives and other people I know who work in the medicinal industry. On a two week break from the Rebel Soul tour when we were offered some recording time in a big studio so I figured I’d embrace my Northwest roots and make a big-sounding grunge country song. I wasn’t sure I’d ever get the chance to work with such hi tech equipment again so I used it for everything it was worth.
